Scorpions “Live In Munich 2012”

In the world of rock and roll, there are few bands that truly stand the test of time. With over 100 million records sold, the Scorpions have been rocking the world for over 50 years and are still going strong. The best way to experience the band is seeing all the action in person at a live show. In today’s day and age, many rock bands have been forced to scale back their live show but not the Scorpions. They still bring you the complete package with a huge stage, LED screens, lights, smoke, and all the bells and whistles that a truly great arena rock act can manage. What better way to celebrate one of the best bands in rock than with a Live DVD. Their newest film “Live In Munich 2012” will be released at the end of the month via Eagle Rock Entertainment.

The movie was filmed in high definition during the last concert of the “Sting In The Tale” tour in Munich, Germany. The evening was extra special as a performance in their home country and a emotional one as well with both the band and the audience on absolute fire all night long. Fans can now relive those magic moments in the comfort of their homes with the complete 21 song set included on the DVD. The camera work is top notch switching angles and panning to allow the viewer unprecedented views . Here you can see elements of the show that you simply can’t in the live venue such as aerial shots of James Kottak behind the kit, close ups of Mathias Jabs’s fingers flying over the fretboard, and the magical look of excitement on Rudolf’s face as he plays to the crowd. The sound quality of the film is outstanding capturing all the subtle nuances of frontman Klaus Meine’s vocals.   All the crowd favorites are here and when the camera switches to an audience point of view you feel as if you are really there in the Olympiahalle. You won’t want to miss the extended version of “The Zoo” with Mathias on the talkbox or the poignant moments during the audience sing a long on “Holiday.” Prepare to be blown out of your seat or at least off your couch with the adrenaline fueled ending featuring the hard rock classics “No One Like You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane.”

“Live In Munich 2012” is a must have for all Scorpions fans and a great addition to any rock fan’s collection. If you can’t make it to a live show, this DVD will give you a glimpse at what you have been missing.
