The Christian rock band Skillet has come a long way in the last few years. Starting out as a relatively unknown act outside of the Christian rock scene, Skillet has set the mainstream rock world on fire with front man John Cooper’s signature vocals, top notch songs, and an energetic live show that is simply second to none. For the first time this past fall, a Skillet song reached number one on the mainstream rock charts with the lead single “Feel Invincible” off their latest studio album “Unleashed.” The band is currently on the road here in the States on the second leg of their “Unleashed” tour wowing audiences across the country with their spectacular, life affirming performances.
BackstageAxxess had the chance to chat with lead vocalist and bassist John Cooper and discuss all that has been happening in the world of Skillet lately. With their song “Stars” included on the soundtrack for the new movie “The Shack” and some huge festival performances ahead this spring, the band has a lot of reasons to “Feel Invincible, ” all while keeping true to their faith and beliefs.
