Fozzy “Judas”

After burning up the charts all summer long with their number one single “Judas,” Fozzy continues their rise to the top with the release of their seventh full length album of the same name, “Judas.” For those that are unfamiliar with the band, it may seem as if they rocketed to fame out of nowhere, but Fozzy has been around for over fifteen years battling it out in the rock and roll trenches. Finally, much deserved success seems to be headed their way.

Led by energetic frontman Chris Jericho’s punch vocals and guitarist Rich Ward’s grooving riffs, the new record is pure adrenaline fueled hard rock. All of the tunes could easily stand alone as singles with not a weak track among them as producer Johnny Andrews really seemed to help the band push themselves to a higher level this time out. Rounding out the lineup are rhythm guitarist Billy Grey, drummer Frank Fontsere and bassist Paul DiLeo. The band sounds crisp and succinct as they tear through the unforgettable melodies of “Judas” and the slinky vibe of “Drinkin’ With Jesus.” A bit of a slower tempo and a huge, soaring chorus makes “Painless” ripe for radio play and another potential hit. A fun electronic dance beat drives “Weight of the World” before Fozzy cranks things up into overdrive on “Burn Me Out.” Don’t miss the nu-metal rap rocker “Three Days In Jail,” a standout song in every way.

“Judas” is a total hard rock powerhouse that will have listeners blasting out of their seats and begging for more.
