Electro pop princess “Lights” opened up her 2012 North America tour at Club Infinity in Williamsville, NY last Tuesday night. The Toronto, Ontario native hit the stage to a screeching roar from her fans and kicked into her latest single “Banner.”
Lights was all smiles and kept up the same electrifying pace the entire evening while letting her music do most of the talking. Her 16-song set was comprised of both songs from her latest effort “Siberia” and her debut album “The Listening.”
Lights rotated between 4 different keyboards set up on stage and also donned the electric guitar for “My Boots.” She sounded great as the mix of her voice shined through songs “Banner,” “Flux and Flow,” and especially “Siberia,” which stole the show in my opinion. She even got up close and personal during “The Last Thing on Your Mind,” as she jumped into the pit during the song.
I was lucky to catch Lights in such a small and intimate setting. You can tell she is just starting to climb the notoriety ladder and her music is getting more airplay. You can sum up this show by saying Lights’ talent came shining through big time!
