Overkill ‘The Electric Age’

Do you have a lot of pent up anger? Has your boss or your ex been driving you crazy? If so, I’ve got the perfect solution for you. Let out all that aggression and take a listen to, “The Electric Age,” the newest studio release by New Jersey thrash-masters, Overkill. This is the kind of record that will get you pumped up in no time.

Overkill has been consistently making powerful, neckbreaking albums for decades and this new release is no exception. In fact, “The Electric Age” may be their fastest, most aggressive record to date. From the opening track, “Come and Get It,” Overkill takes off with their trademark sound. Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth’s distinctive, raspy vocals and the powerful, precision bass of D.D. Verni take you on an adrenaline filled journey along with the blistering guitars of Dave Linsk and Derek Tailer and the rock solid drumming of Ron Lipnicki. The production quality is excellent and Overkill has never sounded better. Their powerful riffs and hell raising lyrics pack more of a punch than a five hour energy shot. Tracks like “Black Daze” and “21st Century Man” have the potential of becoming modern thrash classics.

Overkill has always relied on their classic brand of thrash and makes no apologies for it. “The Electric Age” is proof that they aren’t over yet and can still show the youngsters exactly how thrash should be done.
