Walking Papers ‘Walking Papers’

Are you tired of listening to the same old stuff? Looking for some new music to excite and inspire you? Well, look no further, I have the solution to your problem. It’s a new bluesy, rock quartet called Walking Papers whose debut album is simply going to blow your mind.

Walking Papers features vocalist and guitarist Jeff Angell and keyboardist Ben Anderson, both from Seattle’s The Missionary Position along with former Screaming Trees and Mad Season drummer Barrett Martin. Rounding out the group is the one and only Duff McKagan of Guns ‘n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver fame on bass. Their self-titled debut is an incredible journey of blues oriented rock and roll. There’s nothing better than the bluesy grinds of “Two Tickets” and “Capital T.” You’ll also find some hard hitting tunes in “The Whole World’s Watching” and “I’ll Stick Around” which feature guitar solos by Mike McCready of Pearl Jam. To keep things interesting, listen to the horns and the punk groove of “Red Envelopes” or the marimba in the piano driven “The Butcher.” If Latin is more your flavor, check out the soulful trumpet and rhythms of “A Place Like This.” The musicianship and vocals on the album are outstanding and with the mix done by the legendary Jack Endino who helped create the Seattle sound with Nirvana and Soundgarden, the record flows from start to finish.

Walking Papers has created something magical with this record. It’s timeless and classic and will still blow people’s minds 100 years from now. This is “THE” album of the summer, don’t miss it!
