The alternative pop-rockers DoryDrive recently released their latest album, “Here’s To You.” Now chances are pretty good that you haven’t heard of DoryDrive yet but you will very soon because their new album is filled with potential hits. They’ve achieved their indie success by touring non-stop with top name acts like Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, and Hinder to name a few.
“Here’s To You” is well produced with a tight sound and the songs are filled with pop hooks and catchy choruses. The pop rock tracks are infectious with “Take Me,” “Radiate,” and the title track being stand outs. There were a few songs with a dance groove, particularly “Perfect Chemical,” that seem out of place with the rest and just don’t work as well as the others. The ballads were outstanding though with the powerful vocals of Mathieu Nevitt leading the way on “When The Lights Burn.”
“Here’s To You” is a solid effort from DoryDrive and I for one will be watching to see what the future holds for them.
