Buckcherry has never been a band to hold back when it comes to lyrics and they’re not about to start now. The kings of sleazy hard rock are back with a brand new EP, “Fuck,” on their own label F-Bomb records. The six song release is full of the high energy rock we’ve come to expect from Buckcherry along with a very healthy dose of attitude fueled by the use of a particular word. I’ll let you guess which one.
The leadoff track, “Somebody Fucked With Me,” takes a walk on the dark side with the raging vocals of Josh Todd shouting out against everything and everybody. “Say Fuck It” is the first single and a cover of Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” done up Buckcherry style with changed lyrics and killer guitars. Following that is the driving pulse of “The Motherfucker” and the bluesy funk of “I Don’t Give A Fuck,” which is a great danceable tune. Things change up with “It’s A Fucking Disaster,” beginning with a slower, ballad style pace before going full bore and then back again. Closing out the record is the angry, punk rock vibe of “Fist Fuck.”
“Fuck” is a fun hard rock record with a classic Buckcherry sound with driving riffs and toe-tapping catchy choruses.
