Kix ‘Rock Your Face Off’

The classic eighties metal band Kix is back with a brand new album “Rock Your Face Off” on Loud & Proud records. The lineup features four out of five original members including vocalist Steve Whiteman and guitarists Brian “Damage” Forsythe and Ronnie “10/10” Younkins with original drummer Jimmy “Chocolate” Chalfant and bassist Mark Schenker.

Appropriately titled, “Rock Your Face Off” will do just that. These guys aren’t here to preach to you or espouse their political views. Kix is here to do what they do best and that is to have a good time and make sure that you do too. The songs are blues based rock and roll at its best with raunchy lyrics and infectious choruses. With songs like “Rollin’ In Honey” and “Love Me With Your Top Down,” you can’t help having fun. The band sounds tight and Whiteman’s vocals haven’t missed a note. In true eighties fashion, there is even a cellphones in the air ballad with “Inside Outside Inn.” The Maryland rockers show all the swagger and attitude of their early years as they give us a true rock and roll party record.

“Rock Your Face Off” is a sleazy but glorious tribute to all things rock and roll…fast cars, fast women, and the ultimate party. What’s not to love?
