Nonpoint Nation take note. The hard rock road warriors of Nonpoint are back with their eighth (8th) studio album on Razor & Tie, “The Return.” Working with Grammy winning producer Johnny K and Daniel Salcido, the band continues their tried and true formula of hard hitting riffs and catchy choruses.
The driving hard rock of “Pins and Needles” kicks things off in high gear followed by the first single, the radio friendly, “Breaking Skin,” another rocker with a great hook. Most of the record is the same with the trademark vocal delivery of frontman Elias Soriano leading the way. Drummer Robb Rivera is aggressive throughout with a continuous assault coming from behind the kit. Standout tracks are the funky feel of “Misery” and their statement piece, “F*CK’D.”
There’s nothing wrong with sticking to what you do best and that’s exactly what you get from Nonpoint’s “The Return.”
