Twiztid ‘The Darkness’

Detroit’s very own horrorcore duo, Twiztid, is back with a new album and their very own special brand of madness. The new record, “The Darkness,” is their first on their own independent label Magik Ninja Entertainment after splitting from Insane Clown Posse’s Psychopathic label. With “The Darkness” Madrox and Monoxide have taken their perverse blend of rap/rock to a completely new level.

The new record opens with a deranged phone call in “Why Won’t You Answer” and the theme repeats throughout the record lending a creepy and psychotic feel as the sinister story unfolds. The songs are heavy with killer riffs and fantastic production adding to the overall dark and evil feel. Stand out tracks include Twiztid’s take on bullying in “Take It Away” and their total f you attitude in “F.T.S.”

Although the genre may not appeal to everyone, “The Darkness” puts Twiztid at the top of horrorcore yet again with an outstanding back to their roots record. Take a journey into your own madness and experience “The Darkness” for yourself.
