Cheap Trick, Steve Miller, Chicago, and Deep Purple lead the pack for this years inductee class. Rap pioneers N.W.A. were also elected. A genre that has long been ignored (classic or arena rock) turns out to be very heavy on this years inductee class. It was a long time overdue for a lot of these bands; especially metal pioneers Deep Purple.
The induction will take place in New York on April 8, 2016.
