Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown ‘The Wayside’

Nashville rockers Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown have recently released their EP, “The Wayside.”  The new record is a short but fantastic journey into the gritty world of blues.  Produced by Vance Powell, “The Wayside” has a raw feel with distorted guitars by Bryant and Graham Whitford adding to the overall vibe.

The EP kicks off with the heavy blues riff of “Criminal Imagination” before launnching into the first single “Loaded Dice & Buried Money,” a true old school rock tune with a great chorus.  The slower acoustic “Devil’s Keep” has a real Tom Petty type feel to it and the band really rocks a cover of Preston Foster’s “Mojo Workin'” which was turned into a blues classic by the one and only Muddy Waters.  “Stitch It Up” is a great straight up rocker but the true standout is the title track.  “The Wayside” is totally laidback with Bryant channeling his inner soul in true crooner fashion.

With “The Wayside,” Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown have given us a down and dirty blues rock record that will stand the test of time.
