Adelitas Way “Getaway”

Vegas rockers Adelitas Way are back with their fourth full length album “Getaway. ”  After splitting with Virgin Records, the band has gone the independent route using a Pledge Music campaign for funding and the result is a powerful rock record with heavy riffs and laden with infectious hooks.

The lead single “Bad Reputation” kicks things off in pure rock and roll fashion with the confident swagger of vocalist Rick DeJesus belting out a sing a long chorus.  Guitarist Robert Zakaryan is in top notch form with the bluesy vibe of “The Good Die Young” and the down and dirty licks on “Shame.”

The rhythm section of Trevor “Tre” Stafford on drums and Andrew Cushing on bass provide a solid foundation for the energetic pace that drives the album.  Without the confines of a label, the band had freedom to write and make music on their own terms producing eleven solid tunes for “Getaway” with no filler material.

Adelitas Way may have a “Bad Reputation” but they have certainly delivered the goods with this record.  It’s gritty, raw, and real and that’s exactly how rock and roll should be.
