Foo Fighters Play Secret Charity Concert

Foo Fighters Play Secret Charity Concert

October 17, 2016 by Kris Engelhart

According to various new sources and celebrity twitter feeds, the Foo Fighters played a secret charity concert for several hundred lucky donors to the band’s fundraiser for local school improvements.  The event read like a who’s who of rock and roll superstars with Sammy Hagar flying in from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico right after his birthday bash to join the Foos on stage.  Sammy treated the audience to a rousing version of “I Can’t Drive 55” and a Sammy/Dave Grohl duet on Van Halen’s “Finish What You Started.”

Paul Stanley of KISS closed out the evening with KISS classics like “Detroit Rock City” and “Do You Love Me” as well as tackling Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” and the Rolling Stones’ “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It).”   Other celebrity performances included Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell, Stewart Copeland of the Police and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols.
