Up-and-comer country artist Brooke Eden made an appearance at the new music club called Venu in downtown Buffalo. Eden and her band took the stage just after 10:00 PM and played through more than 20 songs for the audience.
Eden is just starting to build her career with her new EP titled “Welcome to the Weekend.” The tracks off of this were all played along with a few other songs she has been pushing, including “Domino” and “Sunday Mornin.” Eden’s strong voice really carried the show. Eden also stepped behind the piano for “If I Would’ve Known” and that made for one of the highlights of her performance. Her band was really tight which allowed Eden the freedom to be diverse with her setlist. That was most impressive to me.
Eden really made a connection with the few hundred people who braved cold night in Buffalo, NY. She talked about how the songs she wrote came about and why she chose the covers she decided to sing. She really appreciated the crowd feedback too. Eden also met with the fans after the show.
On top of Eden’s performance was the debut of the new club, Venu. The two tier club has great sight lines and a spacious downstairs level. The security staff was polite and not overbearing at all. Check it out and see the various rock acts and country artists who will be making an appearance at the club in the coming months on Venu’s Facebook page.
