PARAMORE RELEASE NEW TRACK AND VIDEO FOR “TOLD YOU SO”
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM “AFTER LAUGHTER” ARRIVES MAY 12TH
Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has announced the latest track release from their hugely anticipated fifth studio album. “Told You So” premiered today as Zane Lowe’s WORLD RECORD. The band also recently sat down with Zane for Part 1 of an in depth and very personal discussion about rekindling friendships, almost calling it quits, depression & much more. “Told You So” is now available at all digital music services and is joined by a colorful companion video, directed by Aaron Joseph and Paramore’s own Zac Farro. The clip premieres today exclusively via Fueled By Ramen’s official YouTube channel. The track is also available today as an instant grat with all “AFTER LAUGHTER” pre-orders, alongside the previously unveiled new single, “Hard Times.” The GRAMMY Award-winning band’s first new album in more than four years, “AFTER LAUGHTER” will arrive everywhere on Friday, May 12th.
Meanwhile, the official “Hard Times” companion video earned more than 18 million individual views at YouTube alone in its first week of release. “Hard Times” has also drawn ecstatic critical attention, with SPIN hailing the single as “a bit of very classic ’80s pop songwriting…easily the most danceable thing they’ve recorded.” Paramore “still conduct a consistent fluorescence,” raved Pitchfork, “feeling at times less like a straightforward rock band than a shifting Rubik’s Cube…(‘Hard Times’) is a deliberate simulation of the 1980s – an era of polyglot pop music, where rock would find itself embodied in pop and vice versa.” Billboard declared “Hard Times” to be “an addictive, Talking Heads-inspired jam that sounds like it could follow “Ain’t It Fun” as a Hot 100 smash.”
