PVRIS Release “Same Soul” Feat Jaymes Young (Marian Hill Remix)

PVRIS RELEASE “SAME SOUL” FEAT. JAYMES YOUNG (MARIAN HILL REMIX)

Los Angeles, CA (April 27, 2018) – Fresh off their debut performance at Coachella, PVRIS has released “Same Soul” featuring Jaymes Young and remixed by Jeremy Lloyd of Marian Hill – click HERE to listen and HERE to purchase.

“I’ve been listening to Jaymes since we first started touring,” says PVRIS vocalist Lynn Gunn. “I’d always listen to his EP on long night drives, so to hear him on our track is pretty surreal. I love the new take that he and Jeremy from Marian Hill brought to the track.”

“The intensity of Lynn’s chorus vocal pushed me to discover a new groove (within my production world at least) for the drop, which is the ideal thing I always want to happen with a remix,” says Marian Hill’s Jeremy Lloyd. “By listening to the a cappella and responding to it, I can find myself somewhere new.”

Said Young, “Thanks PVRIS and Marian Hill for this fun collab! I always love doing something different with artists I’ve never worked with before.”

The original version of “Same Soul” appears on PVRIS’ critically acclaimed new album, ‘All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell,’ which hit No. 5 on Billboard’s Rock Chart and No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart. NME called the album “catchy as hell,” Rolling Stone praised their “heady, gloomy textures and storming beats,” Q Magazine said they “connect the dots between The Cure, Chvrches and Florence + The Machine,” Billboard said “it’s a stunner” and placed it at No. 8 on their list of the 25 Best Rock Albums of 2017 and the Huffington Post wrote, “PVRIS’ stanzas paint a more realistic portrait of a young woman trying to make sense of the world than do the dolled-up or dumbed-down rhymes often found on Top-40 radio.”

The trio (rounded out by guitarist/keyboardist Alex Babinski and bassist/keyboardist Brian MacDonald), who were the face of Spotify’s “New Noise” playlist, are wrapping up a sold-out North American headline tour, which saw them donate a portion of every ticket sold to The Ally Coalition in support of LGBTQ equality. Next up comes tours in Asia and Australia and performances at the Aerodrome Festival in Prague, Rock AM Ring in Germany, Rock Werchter in Belgium and the Panorama Festival in New York City, where they’ll share the stage with Janet Jackson, SZA, Cardi B and St. Vincent, among others.

PVRIS has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, were spotlighted on Last Call with Carson Daly, performed at the MTV Woodies, have toured arenas with the likes of Muse and Fall Out Boy, have amassed over 122 million Spotify streams and close to 33 million YouTube views to date and played to packed-house crowds around the world.

ABOUT JAYMES YOUNG

Named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” Jaymes Young will assure you that he’s a “songwriter before a singer and performer.”  That wise and self-aware summation cuts to the core of who the Seattle-born and Los Angeles-based musician/poet really is.  Spending countless hours holed up in his bedroom carefully piecing together compositions, penning lyrics, and exploring sounds, he creates music that’s steeped in pop palatability, dusky cinematic electronics, and stark, stirring instrumentation. 2017 saw the release of Jaymes’ debut full length “FEEL SOMETHING” which received praise from TIME, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, NYLON, Blackbook, Stereogum, Interview and more. Shortly after the release, Jaymes embarked upon his first-ever sold-out nationwide headline tour. “FEEL SOMETHING” features streaming hits “I’ll Be Good” and “We Won’t” (feat. Phoebe Ryan).” Previously included on 2014’s “HABITS OF MY HEART” EP, “I’ll Be Good” is Jaymes’ biggest single thus far with over 45 million streams and a companion video which is approaching nearly 30 million views.
