CITIZENS OF AVATAR COUNTRY AND PEOPLE OF EARTH!
The King and His elite orchestra, Avatar, are excited to announce the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for the creation of Legend of Avatar Country, a musical featurette to the album with the same name.

In the words of Johannes Eckerström:

“We are not a normal band and Avatar Country is not a normal album. The whole idea was always to take our audience on a crazy journey into the stranger parts of our minds and the heart of our love for metal music. As a very visual group, this is the natural conclusion of the Avatar Country saga and we hope people will be as excited to see it as we are. It will be a great document of a very special time in our career and in the life of our fans. We have some very special rewards lined up to make it worth people’s while.”

Avatar has teamed up with Kerrang! Magazine to bring this incredible film to light.
“Bands always tell their audience ‘we couldn’t have done this without you,’ and this time it’s truer than ever. The labels have done their part in supporting the making of the music videos thus far, and what comes next is up to us. I truly believe we can make something great together.”

The Kickstarter campaign will launch this Monday, October 29, 2018. Visit the band’s official website for additional info.
Avatar is currently on tour in the United States with TRIVIUM on the “The Sin and the Sentence World Tour” in continued support of Avatar’s newest LP, Avatar Country. This is the band’s second full-scale North American run since earlier this year in January which featured the circus sideshow, Hellzapoppin.

Avatar released their seventh, and most Royal, full length, Avatar Country earlier this year via Entertainment One. The LP debuted at #2 Indie, #4 Hard Music, #8 Rock, and #25 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

Critics praised the release as well. NEW NOISE MAGAZINE said Avatar Country was “the culmination of the group’s evolution into a singular powerhouse, a trip into the heart of what makes metal so distinctively powerful.”

LOUDWIRE called the opening track “Glory To Our King” sounds like “it could’ve come straight off of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club, a warm and over the top introduction to the rest of the album.” And finally, METAL INJECTION called Avatar Country “a wonderful ride.”

About The Author Kris Engelhart

I am a small business owner, freelance writer, and part-time piano instructor in Charlotte, NC. My musical career started at the age of five when I was forced into taking piano lessons. I played flute in the school band and added the guitar as a young teen. There is nothing I would rather do than be at a live show. My first concert was Shaun Cassidy at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo in 1978. My top five live shows ever are: 1. Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band – Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY 1984- They played for 3 ½ hours and it was awesome. 2. Carolina Rebellion- Metrolina Expo Grounds, Charlotte, NC, May, 2011 – The first ever Carolina Rebellion featured over 15 bands with Avenged Sevenfold headlining. Non-stop music for over 12 hours. 3. Chevelle- Food Lion Speed Street, Charlotte, NC, May, 2008 - The first time I ever saw Chevelle live and I was hooked! 4. Skillet with Red- Bojangle’s Coliseum, Charlotte, NC, April, 2010 – Skillet is one of my favorite bands and they totally kick it live. 5. 106.5 The End’s Weenie Roast #9- Verizon Wireless Amiptheater, Charlotte, NC , October, 2003- Featured Staind, Shinedown, Three Days Grace.
