2nd Leg of Full Band Acoustic Tour
Kicking off This Friday, January 11th
Tickets Available at BaysideBayside.com

Bayside have shared an acoustic version of “Mona Lisa,” taken from the band’s 2011 release Killing Time. The song was re-imagined during the studio sessions for their latest record, Acoustic Volume 2, out now via Hopeless Records. Fans can listen online here, or via Spotify and Apple Music.

Tomorrow Bayside resumes their first ever full-band acoustic tour in Houston, followed by additional dates in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Portland, Nashville, and more. With an expanded 6-person set up that includes special guest Golds on piano and violin, these shows allow fans to see the band in an entirely new, and incredibly intimate, setting. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased online at BaysideBayside.com.
Acoustic Volume 2 was crafted in Franklin, Tennessee with Jon Howard, a musician and producer who has worked with Paramore, Dashboard Confessional, and New Found Glory. Howard is part of a hyper local community outside of Nashville that includes members of those bands, as well as Yellowcard, Saves The Day, Grammy winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, and Raneri, among others.
A collection of songs from across the band’s discography as well as one brand new track, the album secured the #4 spot on the Current Alternative chart, as well as #7 Record Label Independent, #8 on both Top Current Rock and LP Vinyl, and #14 Current Digital, among others. It has been heralded online and in print by Billboard, Newsday, Forbes, Paste Magazine, Spotify’s Punk Unplugged Playlist, and more. Acoustic Volume 2 can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music, or purchased online at baysidebayside.com.

It was liberating for Raneri and longtime members Jack O’Shea (lead guitar), Nick Ghanbarian (bass), and Chris Guglielmo (drums) to tear down the walls, playing the songs any way they wanted, as though they had just been written for the first time.

In every note of the vibrant Acoustic Volume 2, a record that conjures the spirit of classic performances like Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged or The Cure’s most adventurous outings, Bayside serves up a confident reminder of their firmly established place in the rock music landscape. It’s evident – from all of the lyrics tattooed on fans, the cover version and tributes that permeate YouTube, and the obsessive supporters worldwide – why Bayside continues to thrive on the strength of these very songs.

About The Author Kris Engelhart

I am a small business owner, freelance writer, and part-time piano instructor in Charlotte, NC. My musical career started at the age of five when I was forced into taking piano lessons. I played flute in the school band and added the guitar as a young teen. There is nothing I would rather do than be at a live show. My first concert was Shaun Cassidy at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo in 1978. My top five live shows ever are: 1. Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band – Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY 1984- They played for 3 ½ hours and it was awesome. 2. Carolina Rebellion- Metrolina Expo Grounds, Charlotte, NC, May, 2011 – The first ever Carolina Rebellion featured over 15 bands with Avenged Sevenfold headlining. Non-stop music for over 12 hours. 3. Chevelle- Food Lion Speed Street, Charlotte, NC, May, 2008 - The first time I ever saw Chevelle live and I was hooked! 4. Skillet with Red- Bojangle’s Coliseum, Charlotte, NC, April, 2010 – Skillet is one of my favorite bands and they totally kick it live. 5. 106.5 The End’s Weenie Roast #9- Verizon Wireless Amiptheater, Charlotte, NC , October, 2003- Featured Staind, Shinedown, Three Days Grace.
