Aerosmith To Get A Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Aerosmith is getting a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will honor the Boston-bred band with a star on Valentine’s Day

According to Boston.com:

Aerosmith has won four Grammys, been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and been the recipient of many more awards. One piece of recognition the band hasn’t received? A star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame — until now.

The “Bad Boys from Boston,” made up of vocalist Steven Tyler, lead guitarist Joe Perry, guitarist Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton, and drummer Joey Kramer, will be honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with the 2,657th star in the recording category on Valentine’s Day.  Aerosmith’s five-pointed distinction will be stationed at 6752 Hollywood Blvd., in front of the Musicians Institute.

“Finally! We have been waiting a long time to honor Aerosmith with their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a press release. “Aerosmith is one of the greatest rock bands in the world and we expect many fans will be ‘Crazy’ excited to see them honored!”

The ceremony will take place next week on Feb. 14 at 2:30 p.m. EST, and can be livestreamed exclusively on the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
