Crobot “Motherbrain”

Ever since their 2012 debut album “Legend of the Spaceborne Killer,” Crobot has been making a name for themselves with their unique brand of groove-laden hard rock. The band recently dropped their fourth full length record and first for Mascot Label Group “Motherbrain” and let me tell you, you are in for one hell of a ride. “Motherbrain” is Crobot’s heaviest, funkiest, and most grooving music the band has ever done and I simply can’t get enough of it.

With the help of producer Corey Lowery (Sevendust, Seether), Crobot has gone a little out of their comfort zone on this one, pushing the boundaries and really tapping into their dark side. This band is definitely firing on all cylinders with sick guitar riffs from Chris Bishop and funktastic, slinking rhythms from drummer Dan Ryan and bassists James Lascu and Eddie Collins who are sharing the touring bass duties this time out. Frontman Brandon Yeagley has put in his best vocal performance ever running the gamut from sinister on “Alpha Dawg” to an all out wail on “Burn.” Yeagley is definitely on point bringing us through all the emotional highs and lows that are at the heart of “Motherbrain.” Don’t miss the bluesy groove of “Burn” and the crossroads feel of “Low Life.”

Crobot has definitely taken things to the next level with “Motherbrain” resulting in their best music yet. It has a vibe that can not be denied that will have you wanting to bang your head and shake your moneymaker all at the same time.
