Los Angeles, CA – October 28, 2019 – EGOT winner and critically acclaimed, multi-platinum singer songwriter John Legend returns with the release of an expanded version of his first Christmas album, A LEGENDARY CHRISTMAS: THE DELUXE EDITION. The 18-track album is executive produced by Raphael Saadiq and will be released on November 8 via Columbia Records. Kelly Clarkson joins John for a reimagined version of the holiday classic “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” with updated lyrics written by John and comedian Natasha Rothwell of the hit HBO series Insecure. The new take is a modern and irreverent narrative:

ABOUT JOHN LEGEND:
EGOT-winning, critically acclaimed, multiplatinum singer-songwriter John Legend has garnered ten Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, and an Emmy Award, among others. Legend is the first African-American man to earn an EGOT and one of only fifteen people in the prestigious EGOT club. Legend has released six celebrated albums over the course of his career, including, Get Lifted (2004), Once Again (2006), Evolver (2008), Love in the Future (2013), Darkness and Light (2016), and A Legendary Christmas (2018). Beyond his music career, John, along with partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, is a principal in the Get Lifted Film Co., which executive produced IFC’s sketch comedy show Sherman’s Showcase, NBC’s live production of “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” the HBO documentaries Southern Rites and United Skates, WGN America’s series Underground, and films such as Southside With You and La La Land. Upcoming projects include the newly launched Rhythm + Flow and David E. Talbert’s holiday film JINGLE JANGLE, which will be released in 2020, both on Netflix. As a philanthropist, Legend initiated the #FREEAMERICA campaign in 2015 to change the national conversation surrounding our country’s misguided criminal justice policies and to end mass incarceration.
