One of “the” hottest bands to hit the rock scene in recent years is none other than Blacktop Mojo. Hailing from Palestine, Texas, they have a true southern rock vibe that is both catchy and classic. After a solid 2014 debut “I Am, ” Blacktop Mojo released a cover of the iconic Aerosmith song “Dream On” to fill in the gaps in between recrods. The track took off like a rocket garnering over one million views by the time the “Burn the Ships” album was released. The video is now at almost 15 million views on You Tube and along with their single “Where The Wind Blows” gave the band the recognition they deserved. After hitting the road as much as possible, the band returned to Texas to write and record “Under The Sun,” the latest in the Blacktop Mojo catalog that is both powerful and poignant. The guys are once again on the road hitting as many cities as possible before the holiday break. BackstageAxxess had the opportunity to chat with vocalist Matt James and get the inside info on everything “Under The Sun” and find out if he ever did really wrestle a gator. Please listen in to a conversation with Blacktop Mojo frontman Matt James.
We would like to thank Tom George from TAG publicity for setting up the interview with James. For more information on Blacktop Mojo, please go to: Blacktop Mojo .
