There isn’t much in her life that author, vocalist, actress and chainsaw artist Cherie Currie hasn’t seen. At the age of the young age of 15, she was the front woman for the first all girl hard rock band called The Ruanways. Ever since that time, she has been an actress (has played various parts over the last 40 years), wrote an autobiography titled “Neon Angel,” became a mom, took up and now has become one of the top chainsaw artists in the world and last but not least, is on the verge of releasing her latest album Blvds of Splendor on digital format on April 28, 2020. This would include 3 bonus tracks that weren’t on the limited LP release (which was on April 13, 2019).
Cherie took the time to speak to us about the album and how it all came to fruition. She also talks about how it was working with the drummer extraordinaire Matt Sorum on it. She also dives into how other artists became involved once it started to take flight. Another one of Cherie’s passions is making chainsaw art. She chats about how she became involved on how you could own one of her very own creations.
So without further adieu, lets bring to you the one and only Cherie Currie!
