NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Multi-Platinum star Darius Rucker joined the 8 a.m. hour of NBC’s “TODAY” this morning, July 10, to announce that new music is officially on the horizon with forthcoming single “Beers And Sunshine” set to premiere at Country radio on August 6. Watch his socially distanced interview over a round of golf with host Harry Smith HERE.

Written by Rucker together with producer Ross Copperman alongside Josh Osborne and J.T. Harding, the feel-good summer song calls for slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life when the world feels out of control.

“It’s certainly been a hard year so far with a lot of heaviness around us constantly,” notes Rucker. “Like it says in the song, I don’t know how we fix any of these big, real issues that we’re facing, but while we work through this time I think it’s important that we find the silver lining where we can really enjoy the little moments and the simple joys of time spent together with friends and family.”

Rucker, who is set to perform a “Live from the Drive-In” concert at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium this weekend, will also host a virtual edition of his annual “Darius & Friends” concert benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m. CT. Pay-per-view tickets starting at $15 are on sale now at LiveXLive.com/Darius.
