This Friday, singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson will release Farewell December, a full LP of festive favorites for the 2020 holiday season. The 12-track set features Matt’s sparkling take on Christmas standards from “Blue Christmas” to “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” — as well as his somber take on Joni Mitchell’s “River.” The album also includes appearances from Canadian singer/songwriter Donovan Woods on “Little Drummer Boy” and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus on “Christmas Time Is Here.”

Earlier this summer, Nathanson released Live in Paradise: Boston, a sixty-one song live concert double album. The first disc was recorded during his “Song Wheel” Extravaganza Tour in winter of 2019 at the legendary Paradise Rock Club in his hometown of Boston. Based in San Francisco, Matt Nathanson has evolved into one of the most applauded songwriters and engaging performers on the music scene today. His 2007 album, Some Mad Hope, yielded his breakthrough multi-platinum hit “Come on Get Higher.” His 2013 release, Last of The Great Pretenders, debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 while hitting #1 on iTunes’ Alternative Albums chart. Nathanson has performed on The Howard Stern Show, Ellen, CONAN, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dancing with the Stars, Rachael Ray, and The CMA Awards to name a few.
