Gov’t Mule brings the excitement of their New Year’s Eve show to fans this year with their new live album, Live At The Beacon Theatre, available now only on streaming services – PRESS HERE to watch the teaser and PRESS HERE to listen/stream. The brand new live album was recorded on New Year’s Eve 2017 as Gov’t Mule rang in the new year with special guest Jackie Greene as part of their annual New York City residency, performing a selection of the band’s classics as well as covers of songs originally by Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, Sam Cooke, Bob Marley, Neil Young, David Bowie, Steely Dan, and more.
“While there’s nothing like being in a room with all of you, we wanted to release a series of live recordings to share some of that live electricity that we all miss so much. This show is timely and unique, and seems like a good way to kick off the series,” shares Gov’t Mule front man and GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer, and revered guitarist Warren Haynes. “This album was recorded at the Beacon Theatre on New Year’s Eve 2017 and you’ll even hear balloons popping following ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Televised’ as the celebrations began. We look forward to being able to eventually resume our annual tradition of ringing in a new year with you at Beacon Theatre, but until then we hope you enjoy these live recordings.”
This is the first of several digital-only live album releases Gov’t Mule will share as they bring their jam-packed performances and master musicianship directly into fans’ homes. Please visit www.mule.net for more information.
