LOS ANGELES – Corey Taylor, the Grammy® Award-winning singer-songwriter, actor, and New York Times Best-Selling Author, today released an inspired new cover version of “Carry On,” exclusively on Amazon Music. The original version is from the landmark Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album, Déjà Vu, which is also available today as an expansive 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition with over two hours of rare and unreleased audio.
Taylor’s reverent take on the CSNY classic, written by Stephen Stills, finds the singer putting his signature style on the song while also highlighting the trademark CSNY harmonies from the original version. Fans might just hear the song on Taylor’s recently announced CMFTour, which begins on May 17 in Tempe, Arizona (full itinerary below). The tour will find Taylor and his band performing for fans socially distanced and following state recommended health guidelines, with a set list featuring tracks from his critically acclaimed solo debut CMFT, as wells as choice cuts from his Slipknot and Stone Sour catalogs.

Taylor’s “Carry On” tribute arrives as Déjà Vu is earning rave reviews more than 50 years after its release on Atlantic Records. This time, critics are singing the praises of the original, as well as the rare and unreleased music included on Déjà Vu: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. According to MOJO’s five-star review: “Their 10-song debut, an ambitious mix of harmony and melody with dark, heavy guitars, did not disappoint. Nor does this reissue…The quantity and quality of the songs they have unearthed that didn’t make it on Déjà Vu is pretty amazing.”
Déjà Vu: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is an expansive collection that includes a newly remastered version of the original 8x platinum album on both 180-gram vinyl and CD along with nearly two-and-a-half hours or rare and unreleased demos, outtakes, and alternate takes. In addition to topping the pop charts, the album also featured three Top 40 singles, “Woodstock,” “Teach Your Children,” and “Our House.”
