ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME BAND CHICAGO RELEASES 38th STUDIO ALBUM BORN FOR THIS MOMENT – OUT NOW

(July 15, 2022) – Today, multi-Grammy award winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Chicago release their 38th studio album, BORN FOR THIS MOMENT, via BMG on the heels of the previously released single “If This is Goodbye,” now climbing the AC radio chart. Earlier this week, the band performed the hit single on Good Morning America. The album is now available here. Featuring the signature sounds Chicago fans have come to love, BORN FOR THIS MOMENT, produced by Joe Thomas, captures the true heart of this legendary band. Over the entire course of 14 vibrant new songs, BORN FOR THIS MOMENT encapsulates the unique blend of award-winning and personal songwriting, multilayered harmonic vocalizations, and world-class arrangements that have been electrifying audiences across the globe for decades. “I hope that, 55 years from now, listeners will actually feel something about our music and our lyrics. I mean, we’re all human. We all go through some variation of the same pain and joy at some point in our lives, and there’s a commonality to that. I hope listeners in the future will actually get all those feelings while listening to our music,” said founding bandmember Robert Lamm. “One of the big reasons this album works so well is that when you put it on and play it, you hear something you’re not quite expecting to hear,” said founding bandmember Lee Loughnane, “and it immediately pulls you in musically and emotionally.” “The very nature of these new tracks makes them very performable, and I’m looking forward to playing some fresh material onstage,” said founding bandmember James Pankow. Chicago also kicked off their co-headline summer tour with Brian Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys, with Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin last month at Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ. The band has made stops across the U.S. in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Tampa, Dallas and more, and will wrap up in Clarkston, MI at DTE Energy Music Theatre on July 26.
