Brandi Carlile confirms new show at Washington D.C.’s The Anthem on March 21

January 8, 2024—9x Grammy Award-winner Brandi Carlile will perform at Washington D.C.’s The Anthem Thursday, March 21 alongside longtime collaborators and bandmates The Hanseroth Twins.
Tickets for the show will be available for pre-sale starting this Wednesday, January 10 at 10:00am ET with general on-sale following this Friday, January 12 at 10:00am ET. Ahead of the D.C. show, Carlile’s “Girls Just Wanna Weekend” will return to Mexico next week with performances by Carlile, Janelle Monae, Sarah McLachlan, Lucius, Allison Russell and many more. Additionally, Carlile’s second annual “Mothership Weekend” will take place May 10-12 in Miramar Beach, FL and feature Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Sara Bareilles and Nickel Creek among others.
The upcoming performances follow yet another triumphant year for Carlile, who was selected as OUT Magazine’s 2023 “Icon of the Year” and is nominated for two awards at the upcoming 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Best Americana Performance (“Dear Insecurity” with Brandy Clark) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Thousand Miles” with Miley Cyrus).
Carlile spent much of the past year focusing on her work as a producer with acclaimed projects from Brandy Clark (self-titled album), Tanya Tucker (Sweet Western Sound), Joni Mitchell (At Newport) and Tish Melton (“Michelle”). She also produced and recorded a rendition of Indigo Girls’ “Closer To Fine” with her wife, Catherine, which was included onBarbie The Album (Best Weekend Ever Edition) as well as a version of “Home,” which was featured in final season of Ted Lasso.
Carlile is a 9x Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, performer, producer, #1 New York Times Bestselling author and activist, who is known as one of music’s most respected voices. She has released seven full-length albums to date including her most recent, 2021’s 3x GRAMMY Award-winning In These Silent Days. Widely beloved by her peers, Carlile has also collaborated with Elton John, The Highwomen, Soundgarden, Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton and more, has been awarded Billboard’s Women In Music “Trailblazer Award,” CMT’s Next Women of Country “Impact Award,” NMPA’s 2023 Songwriter Icon Award and received multiple recognitions from the Americana Music Association.
