Cher, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang and Frampton were on the ballot for the first time this year.

“Rock ‘n’ roll is an ever-evolving amalgam of sounds that impacts culture and moves generations,” Rock Hall chairman John Sykes said in a statement. “This diverse group of inductees each broke down musical barriers and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps.”
The event is being broadcast live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, Oct. 19. Tickets are not yet on sale for those looking to attend in person.
