Tulsa, OK nonprofit music organization, Horton Records, is proud to announce the 2025 ‘2 Minutes to Tulsa’ music festival, set for Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at The Vanguard event center in downtown Tulsa. The thriving annual event, now in its third iteration, will showcase a diverse national and international lineup of heavy metal music including German legends, Grave Digger, new wave of British heavy metal standouts,Satan, Los Angeles shock rock stars, Lizzy Borden, and Cleveland metal/punk kings, Midnight as festival headliners. Single day and full weekend tickets are on sale via The Vanguardnow.
Additional confirmed acts for the 2025 2 Minutes to Tulsa festival include Hawaii’sSacred Rite, Kentucky’s Savage Master, US-German crushers, Sentry, Canada’s Tower Hill, Houston’s Helstar, California’s Haunt, Sweden’s Century, North Carolina’s Mega Colossus, Louisiana’s Void, Spain’s Hitten, and the one-two punch of Tulsa’s own Blind Oath and Medicine Horse in what promises to be a festival created by metal fans for metal fans. 2 Minutes to Tulsa will also include the aptly-titled Bangover Brunch, a free event on Sunday, March 30 at Fassler Hall (304 S Elgin Ave) that will include a performance by NYC power trio Sanhedrin.
“We have been blown away by the response to 2 Minutes to Tulsa,” says Horton Records’ President Brian Horton. “Both fans and bands have traveled to Tulsa from all over the world, many for the first time, to be a part of this annual event, which was a goal of ours from the beginning. A special treat in 2025 will be a rare live appearance from Sacred Rite. This is a band that relocated from Hawaii to Tulsa in the late 80’s, only to partially dissolve and reform under the name Tragic Nancy. It will be a reunion of sorts as the band members reconnect with friends and family in the area. We’re expecting a sell out this year, so get your tickets early!”

Horton Records is a volunteer-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) Tulsa music organization. Its mission is to provide services that develop and support musicians in the Tulsa area, while fostering community with other creative partners and building on the rich musical heritage in the region. Horton Records organizes and promotes showcase events, provides booking services and management support to artists, supplies business and financial support for recording and distributing music worldwide, and supports educational efforts for all ages. This mission directly aligns with city and state efforts to enhance the image of Tulsa and the surrounding area as a creative hub and music destination that attracts and retains visitors, as well as current and future residents.
Horton Records has officially released more than 120 titles from Oklahoma artists and distributed more than 150,000 physical units worldwide. Each year, it books more than 100 shows on behalf of Oklahoma artists, free of charge, with approximately $50,000 annually being paid directly to musicians.
