BeachLife Festival 2025 Announces Special Guest John Stamos To Join The Beach Boys For Their Show On Sunday, May 4

BEACHLIFE FESTIVAL, Southern California’s premier live music, art and culinary event taking place May 2-4, 2025 on the picturesque waterfront in Redondo Beach, CA, is thrilled to announce that actor, producer, and musician John Stamos will join The Beach Boys as a special guest for their set on Sunday, May 4. The announcement follows Stamos’ recent outing with the internationally renowned group last year as part of the “Endless Summer Gold” 2024 tour, celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beach Boys’ iconic Endless Summer album, and Stamos’ memorable performance with the band at Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA.

John Stamos has had a longstanding relationship with The Beach Boys dating back to July 4, 1985 when he played his first official show with the iconic band at the Washington Monument, for close to a million people. Stamos aimed to introduce a younger generation to the timeless music of The Beach Boys and prominently featured the band on Full House and his subsequent television shows. Throughout almost four decades, he has maintained an enduring friendship with The Beach Boys and has captivated audiences on various worldwide tours. Stamos has appeared in several of their music videos and even directed the video for their song “Hot Fun in the Summertime.” One of his most notable contributions was his appearance in their chart-topping hit single “Kokomo.” Stamos enthusiastically describes The Beach Boys music as “heart music,” explaining how it bypasses the brain and goes directly to the heart.

“It was 1961 and Dennis Wilson and I were fishing off the Redondo Beach Breakwater, not far from the pier,” shares The Beach Boys’ Mike Love. “We spoke of surfing and how there was no song with lyrics about the beloved sport that the South Bay surfers were wild about. That led to Brian and I coming up with our first song to hit the radio, called ‘Surfin’.’ Performing at BeachLife six decades later is truly a homecoming for us. What could be more perfect than The Beach Boys at BeachLife? Well, being joined by our longtime friend and drummer, John Stamos makes our Sunday afternoon even more special. It’s going to be a festival to remember so get there fast so we can take it slow, we’re going to bring Kokomo to Redondo and it’s going to be Fun, Fun, Fun!”

The Beach Boys remain at the forefront of music and culture through their recent projects. In May, The Beach Boys documentary debuted on Disney+, offering fans a comprehensive look at the band’s journey from their humble beginnings to becoming one of the most influential acts in music history. Directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny, the film features never-before-seen footage, interviews with band members including Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and Bruce Johnston, and contributions from other industry luminaries such as Lindsey Buckingham and Janelle Monáe. The documentary soundtrack, available via Capitol/UMe, includes classic Beach Boys hits and the bonus track “Little Blue Bathing Suit” by Stephen Sanchez.

The Beach Boys also recently released their only official book, The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys, in collaboration with Genesis Publications. This hardcover edition chronicles their meteoric rise, from their first single, “Surfin’,” to their iconic 1980 Independence Day concert. Fans can purchase the book at bookstores nationwide or at thebeachboysbook.com.

Further expanding their legacy, Mike Love’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through his co-founded venture, Club Kokomo Spirits. The company’s artisanal rums, including the acclaimed Artisanal White and Barrel Finished varieties, have earned prestigious recognition, such as two Double Gold medals at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This prestigious recognition highlights the dedication to quality and craftsmanship that Club Kokomo embodies, paralleling the enduring legacy of The Beach Boys’ music. Both the Artisanal White and Barrel Finished rums have been acclaimed for their exceptional flavors, much like the harmonious sounds that have defined The Beach Boys for generations.
