We have never interviewed any past or present member of the band Genesis. So when we were asked if we be interested in doing an interview with former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, we gladly accepted the invitation. Buffalo, NY will be welcoming back this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to play a live show at Kleinhans Music Hall on on October 5, 2025. Hackett not only released one, but two live records this year. We focused on his latest effort titled ‘The Lamb Stands Up Live at Royal Albert Hall. Hackett has recently embraced his time with Genesis and was no more evident than this live release. He has released 30 studio records since his time in Genesis. Hackett was asked and he elaborates on where he is for his next studio effort. In addition, we talk about Steve’s earliest days and how he got into Genesis. Though we had a short time with Steve, we made the most of it. Plus, Hackett gave us a small preview as the very next day he was to get together with his former Genesis bandmates to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.’
