Jason Newsted And The Chophouse Band will embark on their first-ever North American headlining tour this summer; Fronted by the six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Inductee, TCB will perform 8 headlining dates in cities including Northampton, Albany, Alexandria, Grand Rapids, Knoxville and more (full dates below). Tickets for these dates will go on sale here on Friday April 24th at 10am Local Time.
The group will also support iconic Atlanta country rock outfit Blackberry Smoke for 10 dates in July. This 18-show run kicks off on July 1 at Northampton’s Iron Horse Music Hall, and visits major markets across the South, Midwest, and East Coast, and concludes with a two-night stand at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN on July 24-25. Tickets are available HERE.
Since 1992, Jason Newsted And The Chophouse Band have performed periodically at select benefit shows and charity gigs, supporting causes like veteran’s relief and animal rehabilitation, as well as youth music and arts education programs. Newsted leads the 2026 TCB lineup; joined by Jesse Farnsworth [guitar, vocals], Jimbo Hart [bass, vocals], Humberto Perez [guitar], and Robert John-Tucker [drums, vocals]. “We’re fired-up to finally take this to the people, and it’s an honor to head out on the road with the Blackberry crew for our first proper run,” said Newsted. “Blackberry Smoke has built a loyal following that knows and enjoys good music. We’ll be performing TCB originals and selections from a few of our heroes. Even at places like the Ryman, we will play some acoustic-based tunes, but throughout the set it is guaranteed to get heavy!
Jason Newsted And The Chophouse Band play a gritty brand of outsider Americana, with roots outstretched into traditions of bluegrass, folk, soul, rock, and a bit of heavy metal. At the same time, Newsted’s lyrics cut deep as he threads personal stories into the fabric of this music, presenting perhaps the most intimate and uncompromising portrait of who he is thus far.
He states “I’ve realized that this is where I can place my energy effectively now. The Chophouse is the continuation of my ambassadorship of American music. TCB plays everything from bluegrass to fucking slabs of metal. We’re covering a lot of ground; There could be country flavor to a song, but it’ll still have sharp teeth. We are looking forward to an exciting summer! ”

ABOUT JASON NEWSTED:
Jason Newsted has dedicated himself to music. His primal instincts as a songwriter are just as intense and fearless as his famous live performances. Throughout fifteen years in Metallica, he took part in captivating millions of fans in arenas and stadiums worldwide. He held down the bass on epic live recordings and five studio albums, including the history-making, 2X-Diamond The Black Album (the best-selling album in the history of Soundscan). He received six GRAMMY® Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® in 2009. His catalog has spanned over 4 decades with Flotsam & Jetsam, Echobrain, Voivod, and the eponymous Newsted Heavy Metal Music project. Collaborations have included Tina Turner, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan, Verlon Thompson, Sepultura, and Gov’t Mule in addition to touring in Ozzy Osbourne’s band. Jason brought The Chophouse to life—first as his personal studio and “house where you keep your chops up” in 1986. Chophouse Records has served as home to this music for over 30 years. Fronting The Chophouse Band, the vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer writes his own entry for the American Songbook. He’s leaving his mark with the same blood, sweat, and cheers that generations of fans have not only come to expect, but forever appreciate from him. Weaving together swaths of rock, country, bluegrass, and American metal, Jason Newsted and The Chophouse Band cuts a path into the South, circles around the Bay Area, and returns back to the Heartland where he was born. Newsted is bringing The Chophouse Band out on the road summer 2026 for the very first time since it’s 1992 inception.
