NASHVILLE, TN (August 28, 2026) – GRAMMY, CMA and ACM-Award winning country star Carly Pearce unveils her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Honest Woman, out today via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. The collection sees Pearce embrace every aspect of who she was, is, and will become through narrative-driven lyrics and an unflinching look at life’s journey. Featuring collaborations with Riley Green, Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle, Honest Woman is an ‘honest’ portrayal of life’s journey delivered by a woman who understands that it’s the fullness of time that defines you.
Co-produced by Pearce with longtime collaborator Ben West, Honest Woman brings together the vulnerability, humor, confidence and emotional depth that have become hallmarks of her artistry. Across 16 tracks, Pearce explores love, heartbreak, comparison, faith, self-discovery and the complicated realities of growing into the person you are meant to be. Rooted in authentic country craftsmanship and informed by her bluegrass beginnings, the album represents a return to the sound that shaped Pearce from the very beginning.
As Pearce recently shared in her “Diaries of an Honest Woman” Substack, Honest Woman is a reflection of the realities of womanhood without the pressure to have everything figured out. “That’s the heartbeat of Honest Woman: celebrating womanhood in all its contradictions,” she says. “Being strong and still wanting to be loved. Being successful and still feeling insecure. Being grateful and still wanting more. Losing yourself and finding your way back.”
Alongside the album release, Pearce also unveils a music video for “Same Circus,” bringing the chaos of bad dates to life as a spectacle of its own. Stepping into a surreal circus where the characters keep coming, Pearce takes center stage in a visual as playful and unpredictable as the song itself, a fiddle-drenched send-up of cowboys who promised a fairy tale and delivered a carnival show instead. Honest Woman has already introduced fans to several standout tracks from the album, including the “lilting portrait of a femme free spirit” (MusicRow) “She Don’t,” the “honest anthem” (Rolling Stone) “Church Girl,” and the “delightfully snarky & sassy” (Music Row) “You Can Have Him.” The album also features the “beautifully produced waltz” (Music Row) “Happy For Myself,” the “blockbuster duet” (Billboard) currently climbing the country charts “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay” featuring Riley Green, and the “delicious, buttery three-part harmony” (The Bluegrass Situation) “What If You Loved Me,” Pearce’s bluegrass-rooted collaboration with Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle.
At its core, Honest Woman captures Pearce at a point of greater confidence, clarity and creative freedom. As All Country News puts it, the GRAMMY-winning Kentucky native is “ushering in a new chapter, one that feels as rooted as it is refreshingly self-assured.” The album allows her to move fluidly between vulnerability, humor and unguarded honesty while drawing on the bluegrass traditions that have been part of her musical DNA since childhood. To celebrate the release of Honest Woman, Pearce will perform a special album release set at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, August 29, followed by a performance on NBC’s TODAY on Thursday, September 3. She will then travel across North America and perform special two-night residencies to support the album. Kicking off September 10 with two nights in Detroit, Pearce will bring her “Honest Woman: Up Close” live shows presented by Conundrum Wines to intimate venues in Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Toronto and Boston before concluding with two nights in New York City. Carly Pearce has become one of country music’s most authentic and defining voices. Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression.
