Kurt Deimer Releases New Single “Always There” // New Album ‘A Grog Is Born’ Out May 8th
March 6, 2026
Los Angeles, CA – March 6, 2026 – Rising rock musician, actor, songwriter, and film producer Kurt Deimer has released his new single “Always There,” the latest offering from his sophomore album, A Grog Is Born, out May 8th via his own Bald Man Records. “Always There” is a twangy tale of destruction and salvation that showcases a more country-rock side for Deimer. PRESS HERE to listen and PRESS HERE to watch the official lyric video. A Grog Is Born includes the recent single “Scared To Death,” also the title of Deimer’s irreverent horror comedy film starring Lin Shaye and Bill Moseley in theaters Friday, March 13th.
“‘Always There’ is my favorite song on the new album,” shares Deimer. “I went through a lot of trouble in my life. I had addictions when I was younger. I had anxiety when I was younger. But I had those core people, like the best mom and dad, that helped me get through those very bad times and helped me grow as an individual until I could figure out on my own what was going on. Without giving up hope on me or kind of throwing me to the side, they were always there.”
A Grog Is Born, produced by five-time GRAMMY-winning producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Breaking Benjamin), touches on everything from bruising hard rock to epic balladry, while overtly connecting Deimer The Singer and Deimer The Horror Star under the Grog moniker, the scene-stealing character Deimer portrays in the Scared To Death film. The 12-track collection finds Deimer taking a major leap as a vocalist and bandleader, stretching out his instrument beyond distinctively low speak-singing into a more robust melodic style. His more confident and colorful delivery, elevated by years on the road, allowed him to explore an even more impressive range of styles, as evidenced by the already released singles, including the thunderous Top 40 Active Rock radio single “In Deep” featuring Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. PRESS HERE to listen to “In Deep” via the official music video and PRESS HERE to listen to and watch the official music video for “Scared To Death,” directed by Paul Boyd (Neon Trees, Dave Stewart, Shania Twain), who also wrote and directed the forthcoming film. A Grog Is Born also features a guest appearance from Queensrÿche legend Geoff Tate for a gorgeous reinvention of “Silent Lucidity” and a heavy recreation of the Phil Collins classic “In The Air Tonight.” PRESS HERE to pre-save A Grog Is Born on DSPs and to pre-order on CD and vinyl.
A Grog Is Born marks the cinematic follow-up to Deimer’s full-length debut album, And So It Begins…, released in May 2025. The double collection, also produced by Lord-Alge, features 17 tracks co-written with Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X, who also contributed to A Grog Is Born, including the singles “Live Or Die,” “Big Toe,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “Hero” as well as an appearance from Tate on “Burn Together.” PRESS HERE to listen to And So It Begins….

In a few short years, Kurt Deimer has been making a name for himself in both the hard rock scene and horror film world. The Cincinnati native with a distinguishing deep voice started his first rock band at age 20 but then pivoted to a more conventional business path. In 2018, he inadvertently revived one of his artistic dreams and kickstarted his flourishing acting career with an appearance in John Carpenter’s Halloween revival, portraying a pivotal role alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and facing off against the infamous Michael Myers, and landing a cameo in the John Travolta racing drama Trading Paint. Soon after, Deimer officially introduced himself in 2021 as a musician and songwriter with the release of his original, vibrant rock music. The multi-talent, who also spearheads his own horror movie franchise “Hellbilly Hollow” as both star and producer, continues to up his game to the next level with every project he does. All in all, Kurt Deimer’s mission is to connect with people – connect with their lives, get to know who they are, and bring them hope – no matter what he’s doing.
