October 8, 2026— Rock legend Billy Idol, alongside longtime collaborator/guitarist Steve Stevens, will be honored on Friday, November 13 by Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez and the City of Los Angeles who will present them with a decree proclaiming it Billy Idol Day.
Following a City Council session during which the presentation will take place, Los Angeles City Hall will host a free public celebration and acoustic duo performance by the pair on the steps at City Hall Park in Downtown Los Angeles. Idol and Stevens will be joined by special surprise guests for the event. Fans are invited to join the festivities at City Hall in celebration of the pair’s upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame the following day.
The 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The 2026 ceremony will then debut in December on ABC and Disney+. In 2027, the Induction Ceremony will return to Cleveland. Idol and Stevens are joined in the Class of 2026 by Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and the Wu-Tang Clan; as well as Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Gram Parsons with the Early Influence Award; Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin with the Musical Excellence Award; and Ed Sullivan with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

On October 29 Idol and Stevens will appear as special guests at Aerosmith’s Hollywood Bowl show.
