One of the best things about being a teenager in the eighties was the music. I got to hear and see live some of the best power metal vocalists ever including the legendary Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, and Rob Halford of Judas Priest. Now, of course, I get to hear all the bands that were influenced by those greats and no band is better suited to carry the torch than Primal Fear.
The German power metalists are back on the attack with their latest record, “Delivering The Black,” an all out assault on the senses. Lead vocalist Ralf Scheepers has stated that he wanted to create the most powerful Primal Fear record yet and after just one listen it is clear that the mission has been accomplished. With the searing guitars of Alex Beyrodt and Magnus Karlsson and the rock steady bass of Mat Sinner and drums of Randy Black, the band is tight and precise with the powerful vocals of Scheepers leading the way. From the Judas Priest like “King For A Day” to the thrash of “Rebel Faction” and through the epic journey of “One Night In December,” Primal Fear is all metal all the time.
If you’re looking for some powerful metal with shredding guitars and bullet proof vocals, check out Primal Fear today and release your inner beast.
