NAMM Day 1 @ Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California 1-22-15

NAMM didn’t start off with a bang as it had in the past. Sometimes the convention security tries to enact new rules upon entrance by the attendees. Upon our entrance on Thursday, we found out we couldn’t wheel around our media gear in our rolling bag and that we had to carry it. We tried to do this but the weight was such a hindrance that we had to take the bag back to our hotel. After we figured out what to bring and carry after that, we lost a good portion of the early morning into the afternoon. We did run into Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith as he was running to a speaking engagement. Because he was in such a hurry, he only had time to take a quick photo.

The afternoon brought us an interview with underrated guitarist George Lynch at the ESP booth. This took place after he did a short demo in the booth. Some of the other photos you see are from Fender guitars (Dee Dee Ramone’s Jacket and bass were on display), Peavey booth (Hartley Peavey and Rudy Sarzo), Boss/Roland booth (Eric Johnson did a signing), DDrums, Dean Guitars (which include various David Mustaine models), Epiphone Guitars (Slash’s AFD Les Paul and Ed Lee Malia Custom Martisan Les Paul), Warwick/Framus Guitar signing schedule and artists which include(Jeff Hughell- Six Feet Under, Victor Brandt- Entombed, Wolf Hoffman and Peter Baltes – Accept, Willaim DuVall – Alice in Chains, Phil X – Bon Jovi, Kyle Sanders – Hell Yeah) ESP Guitars (Gary Holt – Exodus) Gibson Guitar Throne, Luna Guitars, Cleartone Strings, and a stage played Dimebag Darrell guitar displayed at the Dean guitar booth. In addition to these, we got a photo of Seymour Duncan and one of his sponsored artists Laith Al-Saadi (who also performed a few songs for the attendees.)

Photos by BackstageAxxess Correspondent Miss Shela (aka Shela Palkoski) and Diane Daybrow.

We would like to thank The Lippin Group for the credentials to attend and cover NAMM 2015.
