The Moody Blues return to Toronto this past week was hardly a sad occasion – on the contrary, the orchestral infused psychedelic classic rock band from across the pond put on a stellar show at Molson Ampitheatre on Wednesday, August 12th.
The enthusiastic crowd, largely of the hippie era from when the band emerged, were a spirited audience, showing there affection for classic tunes with several standing ovations and happily dancing along to several newer songs. Original members Justin Hayward (guitar/vocals), John Lodge (bassist/vocals) and Graeme Edge (drums) were energized, rich sounding and musically spot on, taking this reviewer back to her vinyl “days of future passed”
