The 4th week of the Molson concert series brought Kim Mitchell to Lockport, NY. The longtime Canadian stalwart is a current DJ for Q107 out of Toronto. The weather didnt damper the spirits of the less than full crowd. Luckily, the rain stopped right before Akimbo alogo took the stage.
The band stayed true to playing his hits and some Max Webster goodies were also thrown in for good measure. The band kicked into Thats the Hold and Kim was much appreciative of the crowds patience during the unpredictable weather. Kim mentioned that they had to play as a three piece band because the keyboard player didnt make it through customs. Pete Fredette, who has been with Kim for 26 years, continued to provide great vocals on Battlescar and Lemon Wedge. Drummer Chris Sutherland held the backbone behind the kit during the 1 hour performance. The keyboard player was not missed as the trio was a very formidable unit for the entire show.
