As the 2018 Today Concert Series starts kicking into gear, the series welcomed the best selling country artist in Country music in Shania Twain for the 2nd year in a row. Twain is getting ready to open up her 2018 tour in Tacoma, Washington on May 3rd. This was a pre-warm up to give the fans a taste of what they can expect at one of her upcoming shows. She played 3 songs with 2 classics “I’m Gonna Getcha Good” and “Any Man of Mine” with one new track off her latest album “Now” in “I’m Alright.” The new song was performed with the Harlem Gospel Choir. Not only did she do the 3 songs for television, she also performed all of them for soundcheck at 6:30am. Usually the Today performers might do a full song. So the attendees got more than they bargained for. Twain was very personable as she came out before the soundcheck started and signed autographs and posed for a few selfies as well. What a great way to welcome the summer Today concert series!
