SKID ROW PARTNERS WITH DEAD SLED COFFEE

Don’t be the one left behind!  Slave to the Grind coffee is here! Award-winning and Multi-Platinum band Skid Row has teamed up with fellow New Jersey natives Dead Sled Coffee to bring fans and all coffee lovers across the world their signature “Slave to the Grind” coffee! The brew is a blend of beans from both Costa Rica and Brazil, creating a rich and bold French roast. “Slave to the Grind” coffee is now available in either ground or whole bean options and is on sale for $20 at SlaveToTheGrindCoffee.com. International fans of the band don’t need to worry – Dead Sled ships worldwide!
“Slave to the Grind” celebrates and pays homage to the band’s multi-platinum sophomore album which was the first heavy metal album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 140,000 copies in its first week and went on to sell over 3 million albums. The band wrote the entire album in a New Jersey studio so this partnership with the New Jersey-based Dead Sled made it an easy decision.
“Being the coffee fiends we are, we are very psyched to partner with a company as cool as Dead Sled coffee,” says Skid Row’s Rachel Bolen. He continues, “We don’t just put our name on any product, so the pairing was a no brainer. This is seriously great coffee. And being based in New Jersey we understand each other literally and figuratively. That said, our coffee can kick your coffee’s ass.”
Snake also shared a special message about the partnership. You can watch HERE.
“The first time I heard Skid Row I had the thought, ‘these guys are amazing,’” said Diana Whittles, co-owner of Dead Sled Coffee. She goes on, “Each song felt like a fist in the air rock and roll battle cry. They quickly became part of my heavy rotation and with every mixtape I made there were at least two or three of their songs that often got rewound and listened to multiple times in a row. It is my honor and pleasure to welcome the powerhouse that is Skid Row to the Dead Sled Coffee family. I am so excited to be working with a band I have so much love and respect for and who set the soundtrack to a huge portion of my teen years. My inner 15-year-old is completely freaking out!”
Primary Wave Music’s VP of Brand Partnerships Lisa Fruggiero worked with the team at Dead Sled on this project added, “Our goal when connecting Skid Row and Dead Sled Coffee was to create a unique, high-quality coffee line that resonates with Skid Row fans and attracts the avid coffee drinker. This coffee line achieves it all and we can’t wait to launch more flavors and products together for years to come.”

About Skid Row:
The first rebellion started in 1986. Skid Row’s self-titled debut saw great commercial success and ultimately went multi-platinum with the help of hits including “18 and Life,” “I Remember You,” and “Youth Gone Wild.” Their follow up album Slave to the Grind debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart (the first metal album to do so), received strong critical praise, and sold over a million copies. The band took a few years off, returning in 1995 with Subhuman Race. The band members went their separate ways, working on solo projects and with other bands, before re-forming in the mid-2000s with lead vocalist Johnny Solinger. This new version of Skid Row would go on to open for Kiss during their farewell tour, they would release two albums (Thickskin and Revolutions Per Minute) and would eventually sign with Megaforce. Shortly after signing with the rock label, the band would announce a trilogy of EPs. United World Rebellion: Chapter One was released immediately and was followed by 2014’s Rise of the Damnation Army. In 2019, the band partnered with DragonForce vocalist ZP Theart, who made his debut with Skid Row for the third EP in the series. And so, the rebellion continues.
