John Densmore (The Doors) Interview

Rock and roll legend and drummer of The Doors, John Densmore, just released his second autobiography titled “The Doors Unhinged.” In the midst of his promotional tour in support of the book, we sat down with John at the Record Archive in Rochester, NY to talk about it. John explained to us what went into the process of writing it and how he remembered every detail years later after the trial to protect the name of The Doors took place. We talk about the possibility of John mending fences with The Doors members Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger. John also discusses his connection to the estates of Jim Morrison and Pamela Courson.

This was a very special interview with a very special guy . Very few men would sacrifice what they did to stand up for what they believe in while giving up millions of dollars in the process. We are honored to bring you a rare and intimate, one on one conversation with John Densmore of the legendary Doors.

We included a funny photo before our interview as John loved the shirt that was sold at one of The Doors of the 21st Century shows in 2003. He said “This was exactly whey he went to court!”
