Scott Gorham (Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy) Interview

When Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy wanted to take the next step with the current incarnation of the band and create new music, he decided out of respect to the late Phil Lynott that he should create a new band. The band is called Black Star Riders and what a band it is. They have their first disc titled “All Hell Breaks Loose” under their belts.

After a tour of Japan and a show the night before in Syracuse, Gorham should have been tired and wanting to rest up for that nights gig at the Iron Works in Buffalo. This was not the case as Gorham couldn’t have been more of a gentleman and invited us to his hotel room to sit and talk about this new project and what lies ahead for both BSR and Thin Lizzy. We also talked about his autobiography “The Boys are Back in Town.” In addition, we chatted about how he and vocalist Ricky Warwick met and what the fans can expect from BSR’s sophomore effort.

One of the most pleasant conversations we ever had with any musician, it is with great pleasure to bring you this exclusive interview with Scott Gorham.

Editors note: This was conducted prior to the news of Marco Mendoza departing.
