Guitar virtuoso Gus G. has certainly made his mark in the metal world. In addition to his own band Firewind, he has recorded and performed with acts like Dream Evil and Mystic Prophecy. Of course, his career really took off in 2009 when Ozzy Osbourne hand picked Gus G. to be his guitarist, following in the footsteps of some of the greatest shredders ever to grace a rock and roll stage. With his first ever solo album, “I Am the Fire,” Gus takes a bit of a different direction. The record has a more classic rock feel to it and Gus has brought in a variety of talented musicians to help out, including Dave Ellefson and Billy Sheehan just to name a few.
