Joe Perry “Sweetzerland  Manifesto”

If you’re a fan of rock and the blues, you’re going to want to check out  the latest album  from legendary guitarist Joe Perry, “Sweetzerland
Manifesto.”  The new record is Joe’s sixth solo album and is a collection of ten songs that are really something to get excited about.

Classic bluesy rock riffs are what Perry does best and this album is  chock full of them along with his perfectly placed, never overdone,
tasteful solos.  This time out Joe collaborates with some of the best  vocalists around including Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, Terry Reid, and
the New York Dolls’ David Johansen.  The instrumental “Rumble In The Jungle” kicks things off with its rhythmic chants leading into the
crunching riff of “I’ll Do Happiness.”  The lead single “Aye,Aye, Aye”  has a real 70’s classic rock feel with a catchy hook and vocals courtesy
of Robin Zander.   Perry goes old school on the harmonica driven  “Haberdasher Blues” with the mournful vocals of David Johansen perfectly
balancing things out.  Helping out on the instrumental “Spanish Sushi” are Perry’s sons Tony and Roman with Joe himself taking lead vocals on  a cover of the folk rock classic “Eve of Destruction. ” The track which  originally was made famous by Barry McGuire, also features Perry’s
Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp on drums.  Perry keeps things  jamming along with the grooving boogie stomp of “I’m Going Crazy” and  the driving beats of “Won’t Let Me Go.”

Music this good will never go out of style. “Sweetzerland Manifesto” is  truly an album for the ages; timeless and epic .
