Mark Tremonti (Tremonti and Alter Bridge) Interview

One of the most revered guitarists to come out of the post grunge era is Mark Tremonti.   Having been in one of the biggest bands at the start of the millennium in Creed, this is where Tremonti made a name for himself. As Creed first disbanded, Tremonti and the other members of Creed (minus vocalist Scott Stapp) went on to form Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy.

Between his down time with Alter Bridge and the possible permanent vacation for Creed, he formed a group a few years back called simply Tremonti. With one album under the band’s belt in “All I Was,” they are getting ready to release their second effort, “Cauterize,” on June 9th.

BackstageAxxess recently sat down with Mark to talk about the new disc and the creative process behind it. In addition, we talk with Mark about his dual role as a vocalist and guitarist in Tremonti. Plus, we talked about his record company Fret 12 and got updates on both Alter Bridge and Creed.

It’s a pleasure to bring you this one-on-one interview with the one and only Mark Tremonti!

We would lie to thank Kevin Chiaramonte from PFA for setting up the interview with Mark. For more information on Tremonti including the new CD “Cauterize,” please go to: Tremonti. If its Alter Bridge info you are looking for, click here: Alter Bridge.
